Fashion that feels good — inside and out.
Every type of fabric in our store tells a story of sustainability, ethics, and natural comfort.

Hemp
Hemp is the overachiever of the plant world, tough, fast-growing, and totally low maintenance. It doesn’t need pesticides, synthetic fertilizers, or even much water to thrive. The stalks are processed into strong, breathable fibers that only get softer with time (kind of like your favorite jeans).
Best part? Hemp actually improves the soil it grows in and soaks up CO₂ like a champ. Our hemp comes from Fair Trade producers who prioritize regenerative farming and fair wages. It’s the fabric equivalent of a self-sustaining superhero cape. This is Martin’s favourite choice.
Organic Cotton
Regular cotton can be a bit of a diva, thirsty, chemical-hungry, and hard on the planet. Organic cotton, on the other hand, plays nice. Grown without toxic pesticides or GMOs, it keeps farmers, soil, and waterways happy.
Soft, breathable, and durable, much of our organic cottons are GOTS-certified and all are Fair Trade sourced, meaning everyone in the supply chain earns a fair living. You’ll feel the difference, not just on your skin, but in your conscience too. This is Bonnie’s favourite.
Bamboo
Bamboo is a fast-growing grass that regenerates from its own roots, requiring no replanting and minimal water. The plant is harvested and converted into soft fibers through either a mechanical or closed-loop chemical process. The result is a silky, breathable fabric that is naturally antibacterial and biodegradable. Ethically produced bamboo ensures that water and chemicals used in processing are recycled, protecting both workers and ecosystems.
Linen
Linen is classic, cool, and effortlessly sustainable. It is from the flax plant, which thrives in poor soil with little need for irrigation or pesticides. The fibers are extracted through a natural retting process that separates them from the woody stalks, then spun into a fabric known for its strength, coolness, and timeless beauty. Every part of the plant gets used, leaving almost zero waste – we love an efficient multitasker! Linen’s durability and biodegradability make it a cornerstone of sustainable fashion, so you can look stylish and feel good about the choice you have made to have linen in your life. Linen is Lisa’s favourite choice.
Tencel™ (Lyocell)
Tencel™ is an eco-fiber – sleek, silky, and sustainably sourced from responsibly managed eucalyptus forests. It’s made in a closed-loop system that recycles 99% of water and solvents, keeping things clean and green.
The result? A fabric that’s smooth, breathable, and naturally wrinkle-resistant. Plus, it’s made by people who are treated fairly and paid properly through Fair Trade-certified production. Comfort has never been this conscious.
Modal
Modal is like Tencel’s easygoing cousin, made from sustainably harvested beech trees and produced in a closed-loop process that recycles water and solvents. It’s silky smooth, highly breathable, fully biodegradable, and holds color beautifully, making it a dream for drapey tops and soft everyday wear.
Innovation and sustainability can coexist beautifully – a modern fiber for a slower, cleaner fashion future.
Rayon / Viscose
Rayon, also known as viscose, is a fascinating blend of nature and innovation – a semi-natural fiber made from plant cellulose (usually from wood pulp, bamboo, or other renewable sources). It’s known for its silky texture, elegant drape, and ability to mimic luxurious fabrics like silk – without the price tag or the animal impact.
Traditional rayon production can be rough on the environment, but modern eco-certified methods have turned that story around. The closed-loop technology prevents harmful chemicals from entering waterways and drastically reduces carbon emissions. The result? A fabric that’s as gentle on the Earth as it is on your skin.
Rayon’s versatility makes it a wardrobe wonder, it breathes like cotton, flows like silk, and dyes beautifully for rich, vibrant color. Whether it’s a soft bamboo-blend tee or a drapey summer dress, rayon offers comfort and style in perfect harmony. When you buy rayon from Ecotopia Naturals, you’re not just choosing a gorgeous fabric – you’re supporting sustainable forestry, ethical production, and a greener textile future.
Merino Wool
Merino wool is nature’s performance fiber, soft, breathable, and naturally temperature-regulating. It comes from Merino sheep that are raised humanely on open pastures, where animal welfare and land stewardship go hand in hand. Unlike synthetic fibers, Merino is fully biodegradable and renewable, breaking down naturally at the end of its life instead of lingering in landfills.
It’s comfort with a conscience, cozy enough for the coast, ethical enough for the planet.
Organic Cashmere
Organic cashmere is the ultimate in natural luxury — soft, lightweight, and incredibly warm, yet gentle on both the earth and the animals who provide it. It’s made from the fine undercoat of organically raised cashmere goats, cared for humanely on open, pesticide-free pastures. Unlike conventional cashmere, which can strain fragile ecosystems, organic cashmere is produced with strict standards for animal welfare, soil health, and fair trade practices.
Our organic cashmere suppliers prioritize small-scale herders and regenerative grazing methods that protect grasslands and local communities. The result is a fabric that feels indulgent but lives lightly — pure comfort with a clean conscience.
Recycled Polyester
Recycled polyester proves that plastic can have a fabulous second act. Made from post-consumer waste — like water bottles, packaging, and even discarded textiles — it’s cleaned, melted, and respun into a soft, durable fiber that feels just as good as virgin polyester, but with a fraction of the footprint.
By reusing existing materials instead of creating new plastic, recycled polyester saves energy, cuts greenhouse gas emissions, and keeps tons of waste out of landfills and oceans. It’s strong, wrinkle-resistant, and perfect for everything from cozy fleece to everyday basics.
At Ecotopia Naturals, we love that recycled polyester gives yesterday’s waste a new purpose — turning what once polluted the planet into something comfortable, wearable, and truly circular. Sustainability never looked (or felt) this good.
Recycled Polyester & Upcycled Acrylic
Some yarns are spun with stories — and this one’s all about second chances. Our recycled polyester and upcycled acrylic blend takes what was once destined for the landfill and turns it into something beautifully new. The polyester comes from post-consumer plastic, like water bottles, that have been cleaned, melted, and respun into durable, soft fibers. The acrylic portion is upcycled — rescued from pre-consumer textile waste before it ever hit the landfill — then carefully blended to create a strong, cozy, and planet-friendly yarn.
This innovative duo gives old materials a new life while saving tons of waste and energy along the way. The result? A soft, long-lasting fabric perfect for your next favorite sweater — proof that sustainability and style knit together perfectly. At Ecotopia Naturals, we’re proud to support fibers that keep waste out of the world and warmth in your wardrobe.
Upcycled & Deadstock Creations
Some of the most inspiring pieces on our shelves come from deadstock fabrics and rescued sweaters and other clothing that have been saved from the textile recycling stream. These materials, once headed for the landfill, get a new beginning through creative design, thoughtful craftsmanship, and a big dose of slow-fashion love.
Deadstock fabrics are leftover rolls from fashion houses and mills that would otherwise go unused. Instead of wasting these high-quality textiles, they get given a second act, turning forgotten fibers into something fresh, wearable, and full of purpose. The same goes for upcycled sweaters and clothing, lovingly reclaimed from fabric recyclers, cleaned, and reinvented into beautiful new garments that carry a hint of history in every stitch.
It’s fashion that’s truly circular, reducing waste, saving resources, and celebrating the art of renewal. At Ecotopia Naturals, we believe the most sustainable fabric is the one that already exists, and these upcycled creations prove that conscious design can be both kind to the planet and effortlessly stylish.
At Ecotopia Naturals, we believe in slow fashion — pieces made to last, crafted from fabrics that honor the earth rather than exploit it. When you shop with us, you’re choosing clean, non-polluting materials that nurture the planet, celebrating mindful living, and proving that looking good and doing good can go hand in hand.
